New York Jets - Weekly Update
(Jetsblog.com)

Jets vs Dolphins Recap:

Week 1 has come and gone, and the Jets played to impress this week. Chad Pennington had a stellar game, throwing for over 300 yards. Thomas Jones had a pretty good day as well, running for over 100 yards. Overall, it was a strong showing for new head coach Lou McCullen, who has all eyes on him at this point.

Patriots vs Jets Preview:
Tom Brady will lead the Pats this week against the Jets and Chad Pennington. New England has a fairly stacked team this year that has a great mixture of experience and youth. Tom Brady and Randy Moss could very well cause chaos this week against Darelle Revis and the young Jets defense. However, the Jets could very well surprise us this week if they put up the kind of performance they did last week in this week's game.

College Games:
We watched a lot of college ball on Saturday, and quite a few players are on our radar this week. Jack English from Stanford and Biff Below from Florida are the big names, obviously. We're hoping the Jets would make a move for English or Below, should an opportunity to snag them come up. Chad Pennington isn't any type of long-term solution, and we're praying the Jets front office agrees and brings in a good quarterback for those of us here who have stood behind the team through the Pennington Era.

Closing Thoughts:
Lou McCullen made a very good impression on Jets fans this weekend. After a mediocre pre-season and some questionable cuts from the roster (Erik Ainge over Aaron Brooks? C'mon.) we were concerned for our team. But McCullen showed us that his way can work. But will it continue to work? Only time will tell.
