I'm at the trade deadline, and we are 48-58, and 13.5 games out of the division leading Athletics. We are 9 games out of the last wildcard spot. There was only two other trades that went down, and they were minor deals, so I won't go over them. Our team has surprisingly had no DL trips for any player at the MLB level, even though the injury slider is at 15.

We ended up making two moves to our roster, and that was calling up OF Frankin Gutierrez, who was hitting a cool .354 at AAA Tacoma since being called up form AA Jackson. We sent down Blake Beavan to accommodate this. He was 3-10 on the season.

We also called up Hector Noesi, who was 9-7 with a 3.94 ERA, but he was 5-0 his last 6 starts at AAA. We called down OF Trayvon Robinson who was sharing time in RF with Casper Wells.

Now Blake Beavan is in Tacoma, and Hector Noesi will take the #5 spot in the rotation. Franklin Gutierrez will take Trayvon Robinson spot as the RF vs. RHP.

Felix Hernandez leads the American league in K's, and ERA. He is 3rd in wins, tied with 3 others. He is a early favorite to win the AL Cy Young.

Here are, IMO the favorite to win each award in the MLB

Comeback player of the year:
AL: Michael Saunders (the reasoning behind this is before this season, he was a career sub-.200 hitter.) Now he is hitting over .300,)
NL: Ryan Theriot

Releif Pitcher of the year:
AL: Brett Myers
NL: Brian Wilson

Rookie of the Year:
AL: Will Midlebrooks
NL: Jorge Soler

Cy Young:
AL: Felix Hernandez
NL: Stephen Strasberg

MVP
AL: Robinson Cano
NL: Jorge Soler
