Greetings,

My name is Tyler and I will be keeping you updated on my trek to become an NHL player.

Just recently, I was signed by the Saskatoon Blades and just finished my first full season playing left wing, wearing the number 37. I would describe my game as a two-way forward.

During the regular season, I played in just 72 games, registering 18 goals and 25 assists and a +/- rating of +22. I led the league in takeaways, so I would say I am definitely worried about my defensive game as much as my offensive game.

My head coach wanted me to move to the blue line during the middle of the season, but my assistant coach persuaded him to leave me playing left wing because I was able to score.

I spent most of my time on the second line during even strength play, but I played on the first line of the penalty kill. Unfortunately, we finished behind two teams in PK%, so there is always room to improve.

We made the playoffs and will be facing the Moncton Wildcats first. I'll keep you guys updated on how I do and how our team does.
