UFC Undisputed 2009 Review
Posted on May 19, 2009 at 01:44 PM.
Ladies and gentlemen ! Start your engines ! The new champ in fighting games and the clear front runner for game of the year so far UFC Undisputed 2009 has arrived !

1st I would like to say, the full game is 10 times better then the actual demo of the game. The full game is also much harder then the demo. Best way to describe it is advanced mode on the full game = expert mode on the demo. Expert mode on the full game = you better kiss your a$$ good bye

For those who were wondering about the fighters and their AI. I can honestly say they really do play like their real lfe counter parts. And every fighter fights to their strengths and will exploit any opening or mistake that you do.

So you if you fighting against a fighter with a muay thai back ground, expect to be put in the muay thai clinch a lot. BJJ and wrestlers will shoot in on you if you get too close to them. And the bangers like Rashad, Forrest, Jardine, etc will stand and bang with you all day.

Not the wises of moves though if you not careful you will be KO'ed. Got KO'ed by Rashad and Jardine a few times this morning LOL. And yes Machida plays like Machida. His ground and pound is very strong. Beware of his head kicks and body kicks.

Brock is way too powerful in this game. However you can counter it with BJJ skills and sub him. Moving on to the middleweight division, Anderson Silva is king of course, however Alemida, Maia, Kampmann and Okami are equally as deadly in this game.

The judo in this game is excellent. Playing against Karo Parisyian and Nakamara is an adventure to say the least. Expect to get thrown around a few times then watch them quickly go for a submission afterwards.

This game is so good, it is hard to say which division is the most fun to play in. All of them are great, with very close and good fights in each of them. Of course the heavyweight and the lightweight divisions are more of the stand up type of fighting divisions. They like to bang in there with only a few fighters in those divisions who like to go for subs.

The rest of the divisions are more well rounded. You got to be on your guard for everything, because they will quickly try to sub you as much as they would try to take your head off with a head kick.

But if there ever was a submission fest division, it would be the lightweight division. A lot of BJJ fiighters in that division and they all seem to love to take it to the ground. Which makes for some great ground battles.

This game is a MUST HAVE. Seriously this game is so deep that you can play this game for many months without getting bored with it. The presentation is awesome. Sometimes I find myself just staring at it like I am watching Unleashed because the commentary is awesome.

Career mode is great too. Sure they could have added some more CAF features like face mapping with the eye toy or 360 cam, but other then that, it is very good.

Online mode was a mode I was kind of skeptical of. But presently surprised that there really isn't much of a lag problem. However the competition online is stiff. Sure there are some novice players who aren't very good in this game. But more then half of the players online are very good in this game. Which to me is a good thing. Playing against the best will only make you better.

So even if your not a fan of UFC or MMA, you will enjoy this game. This game is fun online and offline.
