I am so disappointed in the game play video they released today 2 days before the start of E3. Wasn't one of their biggest new features for NCAA 14 was Infinity Engine 2.0 ? Didn't they harp how much improved it was over Madden 13's Infinity Engine ?
But yet in the game play video released today, you don't see any evidence of physics period. Tackle animations look the same as last year. Commentary still sound awful, robotic and so out of place. There was no excitement in their voices at all. Guy scored a TD, crowd didn't erupt either.
Not a fan of the running animations either, look way too stiff and robotic to me. Some people might like it that way, but not me. Sure the colors pop, but I am all about the game play. Varsity or freshman difficulty, don't matter, the defensive AI was just too brain dead for my liking. The holes in the defensive line was just way too big. HB screen was just way too open. Read option up the middle was just too easy as well, it was as if Moses parted the Red Sea.
Makes me wonder who green lighted this video and said yeah this is a good video to put out there to show to the masses 2 days before E3 ? Did more harm then good. How you going to tout physics in your game but release a video with no evidence of physics in the game ?
Only good thing I seen in the video was the player chatter. Hopefully EA can tighten this up before release. Seems like every year EA goes to the extremes. One year they make something too hard, then the next year they make it too easy. They over correct their game problems to the extremes. Need to be more in the middle of correctness.
Wasn't expecting the world or anything, but my goodness, show evidence of physics actually being in your game at least.

It seemed to me like it was a tutorial-type video to show people how to run the read option.

This gen was just a fail. We have to be happy with whatever slight improvements they feed us I guess. I think they need more real football people in their dev meetings telling these guys what actual football looks like
