NCAA 12 - CPU RB ratings test
Posted on September 27, 2011 at 08:27 PM.
Now I run this test every year when the game 1st come out. What I do is take one skill rating, such as Juke, put it at 99. Then put Spin, stiff arm, truck, elusiveness, break tackle at 0. Then watch the CPU control the player to see how they perform on all the difficulty levels. Repeat the process across all the ratings that pertains to the RB.

So 2 months later, this is what I found out after doing this over and over.

1. In NCAA 12, the CPU don't use their special moves at all. You can raise them all to 99 and raise them all to 0, they will still run the exact same way.

2. Break tackle, elusiveness and truck - When it comes to the CPU RB mean the same thing. Either 1 of them raised high, that runner can break tackles AND truck over defenders.

Literally seen a 180 pound RB with 50 strength, 0 break tackle, 0 truck, 0 stiff arm, 0 spin, 0 juke but 99 elusiveness run straight over a 263 pound linebacker. And this linebacker had 92 tackle and 94 hit power.

Did you record any video to illustrate your point. I never thought about how the cpu controls their players. Interesting topic. Thank you.
