Madden 12 is here and it is that time of year again. Did Madden 12 live up to the hype ? Yes and no.

Presentation wise the game looks good graphically. The grass fields look way better on here then it does on NCAA 12. Player models are bigger, for some positions maybe too big. Some of these QBs look like they been on a corn bread and collard greens diet.

Let me say it right now. On default sliders, All Madden is easy. It is easy because the defense is inconsistent. They will make a play that is really good, but then take the next 6 to 10 plays off, especially on the run defense. Sometimes the running lane up the middle will be 4 players wide, so wide you can drive a bus throught it.

I have seen some instances of LBs having blazing unhuman like speed. Like the ability to chase down people from behind from great distances AFTER they fell on the ground. Don't know how it is possible to fall on the ground, get back up and still catch somebody from behind 30 yards down the field, when ratings wise, they are much faster then you.

Luckily Madden 12 have tons of sliders, lots of player attributes and the new best thing, player traits. Player traits are a GOD send. I wish NCAA 12 had it.

You can tweak so much this year, you can literally spend days on it. So if you not liking how a certain player is acting, you can edit their player traits.

DPP is the real deal. Start sacking somebody too many times, or hitting them hard too many times, their whole mindset will change. The visual impact is just mind blowing seeing how AI is altered by what is going on.

Commentary.......like always is pretty bad.

Coach mode is lack luster for Madden 12, because unlike NCAA 12, Madden 12 doesn't have a TRUE coach mode.

Online communities is neat, if you are into that kind of thing. Only downside to it is you can only join 5 communities.

Franchise mode is slightly better then last year, nothing mind blowing.

Over all, get you some good sliders and this game is pretty darn good.

Out of the box, default sliders - 7.5 out of 10

Game has a lot of potential, just needs some tweaking. But the tools are there, it is just up to the user to edit the dpp, player traits, sliders, etc.
