Wow. Wisconsin sucks.

That's likely your impression of this team if you look at the W/L column.

However, it's not that simple. During their 6 game losing streak, Wisconsin was competitive in essentially every game, even going to overtime during two. This team isn't considerably worse than the successful Badger teams of previous years. And after a drubbing of Penn State, the Badgers are only 4 back in the conference.

As it stands, it's unlikely that anything less than a sweep or 1 loss at most to finish off the year would land the Badgers a tournament bid.

But should they get in, the rest of the NCAA should be prepared to watch out. This team is better than the record shows, and could make a serious run in the big dance.

How bout dem Golden Eagles though? 9-1 conference mark and 2 easy games against St. John's and Seton Hall if they can get past 'Nova tommorrow. That USF loss was a heartbreaker, but this team, unlike the Badgers, has the discipline to rebound after a tough loss.

being a diehard Illinois fan i was shocked at wisconsins trouble this year. It just seems like your team lacks leadership that it has had in the past. I llinois turn around needs to be noticed as well.

I agree. In previous years there were Kammron Taylors, Alando Tuckers, etc. who essentially kept the team in check. The lack of leadership can explain some of the discipline problems.

Either Marcus Landry or Trevon Hughes needs to step up and take control of the team.
