Week 10
10 Weeks already? WOW! This season is rocketing by and before you know it, we'll be talking about the post season. Back on the topic of week 10, it was a moderate one overall. Detailed Recap:
The hot story for this week is the take down of Goliath courtesy of David, and by that I mean the Denver Broncos beat the New Orleans Saints. Prior to this loss, the Saints were tied with the Rams and Browns as the best team in the NFL. This week not only are they no longer tied for first, but they lost to the worst team in the NFL. Denver is now on a 2 week winning streak, and perhaps they'll be able to put together a decent 2nd half of a season. The final score was 24 to 17 in favor of Denver.
Next game of note is the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs. For this story, I'll have to tell it backwards by giving you the final score first. San Diego beat the Chiefs 13 to 10 in a low scoring game, but it was nothing but boring. The Chargers started the 4th quarter down 10 to 0, that's right, San Diego was scoreless for the first three quarters, but managed to out score the Chiefs and win in only a single quarter worth of play. It was a miracle win for San Diego, if I've ever seen one.
Next up was another big upset, but this time is was the New York Jets getting the upset win over the Green Bay Packers. Even though Green Bay hasn't been very good this year, I think we still view them as a really good team. I do at least. However, on paper, both teams have had similar performances this year as they have identical records. The final score was 16 to 10, Jets.
Finally, we have the rise of the Pittsburgh Steelers. They started this season very slow and fell behind very quickly. Over the past few weeks they have been able to put together some wins and started their trek back to 500 and maybe even a winning record. Could they still win the AFC Central Division? Mathematically, yes, but it is very very unlikely.
Thanks for reading my week 10 recap and results and I'll see you all here on Friday for Week 11.
