Detailed Recap:
The top story is the season long streak coming to an end. What streak am I talking about? The Denver Broncos 8 game losing streak. The haven't won a game all season until week 9, and against the Kansas City Chiefs of all teams. It was a pretty close game but the Broncos got the win 23 to 17. I think it's a little late for the Broncos to turn this season around, but it's a step in the right direction.
Next up is the travesty that is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They finished last season as the number 1 team in the AFC and now they are struggling to keep from being last place. This week did not help any either as the Steelers fell 23 to 20 in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys.
The next story is the New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins. This game also went into overtime, which considering the match up seemed like it was unlikely. In the end, however, the Saints took down the Redskins 40 to 34. The Redskins put up more of a fight than expected, but let the Saints score a touchdown in overtime to win the game.
Finally, the chronicles of the St. Louis Cardinals. They surprise us and then they keep surprising us. This week the Cardinals hosted and beat the #1 team in the NFL, the Cleveland Browns. I know the Browns are not one of the most formidable teams of the bunch, but they did have the best record of all 32 NFL teams which is no easy task. The Cardinals ended up winning 17 to 14.
Thank you all for understanding why my week 8 post was late and thank you even more for reading today's post. I meet you all back here tomorrow for Week 10!
