Detailed Recap:
The top story for the week comes in the last game of the week. The Dallas Cowboys playing in Cleveland against the Browns on Monday Night Football. This is the first Monday Night Football game the Browns have played it let alone host, so their determination was at an all time high. The Cowboys and Browns started off with quick exchanges of the ball along with quick scoring. This turned the game into a close and exciting game to witness. The Cowboys looked like they had the game locked up and their winning streak in tact when the Browns got the ball back and scored a very late game winning touchdown, making the final score 30 to 34. The Browns are now only one of two teams that remain undefeated after 4 weeks of games, the New Orleans Saints being the second team, and now with a Monday Football win under their belts, the Browns have a lot of momentum going into Week 5.
The next story is the Chicago Bears visiting the Miami Dolphins. Talk about another close, back and forth scoring game. This time, however, a late 4th quarter score is not how this game ended. Instead, these two teams found themselves tied at the end of the 4th quarter and headed into overtime to decide a winner. The Bears got the ball first and scored a field goal with the possession, but as you all know, Miami would get the ball afterwards. Chicago's defense would prove too hard to overcome as the Dolphins were stopped with no score and the Bears took home the win 34 to 31.
The Bears and Dolphins were not the only teams to go into overtime. The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills found themselves in overtime with the Jets trying to win their first game of the season and the Bills trying to hang onto their #1 spot in the division. The Buffalo Bills ultimately fell to the New York Jets losing 27 to 24 in overtime. After all was said and done the Bills still hold #1 in the AFC East and the Jets are still picking up the rear in 5th in the same division.
The final story is the St. Louis Cardinals getting their second win of the season after beating the Washington Redskins 17 to 20. Last year, the Cardinals were a shoo-in for worst team in the league. This year they started the first 4 weeks with 2 wins and 2 losses. Not bad, and considering there are still 12 weeks left to play, they are still in the conversation of which teams will do well.
That's all for week 4, thank you so much to all of you who have taken the time to read my posts. I will see you right here on Friday for week 5's recap!
