Detailed Recap:
Ok, so the first top story of the season is the fall of the Undefeated Los Angeles Rams. The Rams last year won 19 straight games, including the Superbowl, completing the perfect season. However, this year they are now in the opposite camp as they lost their first game in over a season to the Oakland Raiders, 35 to 30. This is just the first week so it's not like the Rams have fallen completely from grace.
Our next story is the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings game as it was the first game this season to go into overtime! The 49ers had to claw their way back into the game to force an overtime quarter. They didn't stop there as the 49ers put in a game winning field goal to beat the Vikings 36 to 23.
Next up we have our first Monday Night Football game of the season. It saw the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the New England Patriots. This game was going to be a good one, but a close one. In the end, the Patriots were not able to work their magic and fell by 3 points to the Steelers 23 to 20.
Our final story for Week 1 is the New York Giants taking on their biggest rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. Last year the Giants were only a couple games away from making the playoffs so they were looking to improve upon that this year. The Eagles started off with a decent lead over the Giants, but as the game progressed the Giants got closer and closer to tying the game. In the end the Eagles were able to fend off the Giants and won 24 to 18.
Thank you for everyone who was here for my 1978 season remake, and thank you for anyone who is checking out my blog for the first time. I honestly appreciate it, and I'll see all of you back right here on Friday for Week 2's results and recap!
