Divisional Playoffs
We are now at the 2nd round of the playoffs where we will find out which four teams will move on to play for their respective conference championship. Without any hesitation, here are the results of the divisional round of the playoffs.

Scores & Results:

AWAY............................................HOME
[3]New England Patriots (11-5) 24..........[2]Kansas City Chiefts (12-4) 40
[4]Atlanta Falcons (11-5) 17..........[2]Green Bay Packers (12-4) 24
[4]San Diego Chargers (9-7) 31..........[1]Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) 17
[6]New Orleans Saints (9-7) 7..........[1]Los Angeles Rams (16-0) 35

Detailed Recap:

The first game was the New England Patriots visiting the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots got out to a strong start and had the lead for most of the 1st half. Kansas City managed to go up by 3 points before halftime, but they had to give the ball to New England to start the 2nd half. This proved to be of no help to the Patriots as the Chiefs kept racking up the points and eventually beating the Patriots 40 to 24.

The next game we had the Atlanta Falcons taking on the #2 seeded Green Bay Packers. It was a field goal battle for the first half as the Falcons led 6 to 3 after two quarters of play. The 2nd half had a different tone to it. Green Bay was able to score the first touchdown of the game and after some back and forth the game was tied with a couple minutes left. The Packers managed to run down the clock, put a touchdown on the board, and leave the Falcons with no time left to play. The Packers took home the win 24 to 17.

Our final AFC game for this week is the San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chargers dominated for most of the first half of the game leading 21 to 10 at halftime. Things didn't change after the Chargers started with the ball in the 2nd half and kept their scoring spree going. San Diego ended up winning 31 to 17 over the #1 seeded Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chargers will now go to Kansas City to play for the AFC Championship and a spot in Superbowl XIII.

The final NFC game and final game for this week has the visiting New Orleans Saints playing against the #1 seeded and undefeated Los Angeles Rams. The Rams kept the Saints scoreless after the first half. New Orleans trailed by 21 going into the 3rd quarter but they got the ball to start the second half. This ended up being no help as Los Angeles only allowed the Saints to score one touchdown as their dominance stayed strong. The Rams won the game 35 to 7.

Next week is Championship Sunday where we will have the undefeated and #1 seeded Los Angeles Rams host the #2 seeded Green Bay Packers for the NFC Championship game. The AFC Championship will be played in Kansas City as the Chiefs host the San Diego Chargers.
