Well here we are, the last week of the regular season. It's been just about a month since I posted the results and recap of the first week of the season and now the season is coming to an end. There are 5 playoff spots, 3 in the AFC and 2 in the NFC, that are still for the taking. Well, let's move onto the results for this week and find out which 12 teams are going to playing in the post season!

Detailed Recap:
Well, well, well. The Los Angeles Rams have actually managed to go 16-0. I never anticipated any team to go undefeated, let a lone that team being the Rams. With each game at the mercy of a random sim, anything can happen and I thought that would make it extremely difficult for any team to go undefeated, or inversely go 0-16, but it happened in the very first season! We'll see if the Rams can ride this momentum and can keep winning into the post season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a win over the Denver Broncos and became the 3rd team this season to get a shutout. On top of that, the initial win put them in contention for a first-round bye and home field advantage in the AFC. After the whole week was said and done, the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to make their way to the #1 seed in the AFC.
The Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins playoff hopes were in the balance coming into week 16. Both teams could clinch if they won their games, otherwise they would have to rely on other teams losing.
The Cleveland Browns were able to get a win over the Bengals in Cincinnati to claim their playoff spot as the #5 seed. They had the potential to be the #4 seed, but the San Diego Chargers won their game and clinched the 4th seed and home field advantage in the first round.
More amazingly though, on Monday Night Football in Miami, the Dolphins found a way to beat the New England Patriots and simultaneously clinch the playoffs and force the Patriots down into the #3 seed. This means that these two teams will meet again next week for the first round of the playoffs, however, this game will be played in Foxborough. No matter how good your team is, winning in Foxborough in the playoffs is a very difficult challenge.
The Browns and Dolphins were not the only teams in a "win and you're in" position. Over in the NFC the New Orleans Saints had to beat the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay or else the Minnesota Vikings would take their spot in the playoffs. To the dismay of the Vikings and their fans, the Saints earned a win over Tampa Bay, 27 to 14, and clinched the playoffs.
The Philadelphia Eagles had already clinched a playoff birth, but with their win this week over the New York Giants, they were able to clinch the 5th seed in the NFC.
