Madden 19 - 1978 NFL Season Remake - Week 8.5

Week 8.5

I said these ".5" or half posts were going to be few and a far between and I meant it. Anyway, let's jump into what I wanted to talk about.

First thing is I never explained how I am treating the Baltimore Colts and the Houston Oilers. I should've explained this in the beginning, but it completely slipped my mind. Better late than never I suppose.

- The Baltimore Colts are represented by the Indianapolis Colts and it's current roster. I use the 1960 throwback uniform for them as it's the closest I can get to 1978.
-The Houston Oilers are represented by the Tennessee Titans and their current roster. Of course I have them wearing the Oilers' uniform.

The next thing I wanted to talk about are the changes I will be implementing to the last 8 games of the season. Up until this point, I have left the weather options set to the default "partly cloudly", but no more. For the final 8 weeks I will set the weather to "random" which means there will be games played in the rain and snow making for a much harder 2nd half to the season. I think this will make things quite interesting!

On top of this, I will be tracking and updating the full playoff picture weekly as well as post it here in my weekly blog. This will provide a way to follow along with which teams are in a playoff spot and who is not. I will also try my best to note if and when a team a clinched a playoff birth or divisional title.
