Drew Hutchison picked up his first Major League win with a 3-hit shutout of the Minnesota Twins. Hutchison faced the minimum, erasing all three hits with double plays. Hutchison needed only 85 pitches to register his first complete game of his young career. It was the first complete game for the Blue Jays of 2012.

The Jays mashed 19 hits but could only muster 6 runs. Poor base running kept them from scoring double digits as three players were thrown out at home by Twins outfielders. Yunel Escobar was also thrown out at 2nd trying to stretch a single into a double.

Jose Bautista continues his hot streak, homering for the 11th time this season.

Monday, May 14th, the Jays are back in action against the Rays for a two-game set when Brandon Morrow (4-2, 2.01) will face off against David Price (3-4, 4.76).

The Jays are now 16-18 but remain 7 games behind the Yankees in the AL East.
