Zen Studios has been supporting their pinball titles for the PS3 and XBox 360 for a few years now with Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2. The slew of original tables and licensed tables have been coming out at a pretty regular pace, lately it's been a bunch of Marvel Studios tables that have been eating up all my time, but now thanks to a deal with Lucasarts, we have Star Wars Pinball hitting ... If there's one thing I love to relax and play, it's pinball. I've never been the best at pinball, but I've loved to play it since I first stepped foot into an arcade. I've always got the new pinball game for every generation of console over the years starting back with Pinball for the Atari 2600. Until Pinball FX2 hit for the Xbox Live Arcade, no one went in with an approach of having a core game and adding new ... Read More

The last holiday season before the end of a console cycle is usually some of the best gaming you'll have all generation. The developers have figured out the systems and know how to squeeze every ounce of power out of them. The games look, feel, and play better than they ever have..until we have to reboot them all 10 months or so after. So without worrying about what's to come, we have so many high quality titles releasing this holiday, and the entire year of 2012 overall. Without further delay, ... Read More

VS.
Since the Forza series started, it's been a chief rival of Sony's Gran Turismo, with a similar style and car collecting quality to it. The only thing is, that left the game feeling shallower that it really was. The races had no meaning other than to earn credits to buy or upgrade cars. After playing for awhile, it had a "why

On August 18th and 19th I'll be getting a hands-on look at WWE '13 out in Los Angeles for THQ's SummerSlam media event. This is not a community event, so I don't know if I'll get access like in year's past to the game, but I will get some time with it. Hopefully enough to really feel out the title this year.
I'm hoping to be able to dive into Universe 3.0, the Attitude

Once again competing in Extra-Life, such a great cause. Last year we raised 1.2 million towards the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, I personally raised $428. I'd like to beat that total this year.
On Saturday, October 20th I will be participating in a 24 hour gaming marathon over Xbox Live to help raise money for sick kids stuck in hospitals.
I believe in this charity and this cause with all

I hate using the term "broken", because very few videogames are truly broken. They may have features we dislike or issues, but in the end, the game is usually playable. That changes with NCAA Football 13, the game is broken, there's no other way to put it. It's without a doubt the most glitch filled game I've ever played, even more so than last year's debacle.
So what lead me to this, the above screen shot from a game I had? (If ... Read More

The Lego series of games have spawned multiple games based on movies (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, etc), but the first Batman game was an original title having no true source material to back itself on. The end result was a fun, but flawed game that didn't quite have the charm of previous Lego games up to that point. When Traveler's Tales announced a sequel in Lego Batman 2, I became intrigued, ... War is dark, it's ugly, and it's hell. Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you want to look at it), videogames rarely view it in this light. Most "war" type shooters end up with a light hearted story focusing more on multiplayer like a Call of Duty game. Granted, the Call of Duty franchise has had some controversial topics in their single player narrative, but nothing like Spec Ops attempts.

I have been playing a few new games here and there over the last few weeks, so needed a place to drop in a few quick reviews with my impressions of these titles. Gaming hasn't seemed to be too kind to me lately, so hopefully the rest of the year picks up greatly.

Fun! Loved the scoreboard with friends and trying to beat them every time I logged in. I ended up with an incredible love/hate relationship with the game. As fun as it was, it was 10x more frustrating and annoying. ... Read More

Every game, even single player games have become "online" in a way. There's an online pass for everything, even Batman Arkham City and Kingdoms of Amalur. Gamers have to buy outfits for their character now, when 10-15 years ago, these were unlocks for completing a mission or the game itself. So, what changed?
Simply put, game publishers pushed the envelope and we as the gaming community, opened it up. A simple online pass to try to curb used sales was bought up like candy, so the ... Read More

As many know, I'm a diehard wrestling fan, it's my biggest passion, even more than pro/college sports. Pro sports especially have just burned me too many times in the past that I look forward to wrestling events to get that "sports" entertainment. And obviously, I know it's fake, and have since I was 5. I think that's part of the allure for me. It's just a spectacle, more so in the past, but to this day it still is. It warms my heart seeing my son beginning to get involved in wanting to watch as ... Read More

On Saturday, October 15th I will be participating in a 24 hour gaming marathon over XBox Live to help raise money for sick kids stuck in hospitals. It's a great cause, and one gamers can really get into, as the hardship we have to partake is gaming for 24 hours straight. Difficult right?
Even over the weekend after a four hour Gears of War 3 marathon, I joked to my wife that I was "training" for the big event. I believe

So we have the war going on again, except TNA is the new challegner this time. Will this be like the WCW/WWE war from the 90's? I'm not expecting it to be, but time will tell.
For starters, TNA feels like WCW did. Remember the first Nitro? Lex Luger appeared out of no where, after just appearing on a WWE Pay-per-view the night before. The show was even in the middle of a shopping mall. Obviously, appearing out of nowhere is next to impossible in the Internet, but TNA tried it anyway..3 ... Read More

So I've been playing the Blur beta the last few days, and I can easily say this a must buy if you like racing games. It's an online only beta, so got to try that out, which really impressed me.
To start off, I've always liked Bizarre Creations work, ever since the Dreamcast days and Metropolis Street Racer hit the scene. Following up with Project Gotham Racing, and now Blur. It maintains what made the Bizarre Creations games work so well, and that's it's style.
