I'm on a mission to save kids through video games, and I need your help.
My local Children's Miracle Network Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few
On Nov 2nd, 2013 I'll attempt to play an epic 24 (25) hour video game marathon over Xbox Live (or hopefully Playstation 4) and it's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support me with a one-time gift that will go directly to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help the kids.
Last year, Extra Life raised more than 2 million dollars to save kids, but in 2013 our goals, just like the needs of the kids we serve, are much, much higher.
My kids and I visited Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for a kick off event last year, and watched my kids play with kids who were there for much worse reasons than we were. I told my 4 year old that we are doing this gaming marathon to help them get better.
I believe in this charity and this cause with all the fibers in my body. It's something that I can fully relate to. I was one of these kids, spending many days (including Christmas time) in Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for severe Asthma. In retrospect, I had it good compared to what some of these brave children have to go through. Let's change that, we can do it together!!
I plan to stream the games I'm playing as well as tweet throughout the day. I will have prizes to give away throughout the 25 hours as well (but only if you are a donor). More details on that to come!
Please find it in your heart to donate, this is great cause and I'm on my 3rd year competing and helping the kids.
