Anyone seen the rosters for NCAA 12??? wow
Posted on June 29, 2011 at 08:13 PM.
Now, to start I know that EA is not allowed to or does not use real college athletes in their NCAA games (cough, cough, yeah right, cough). I came across a video on the ol YouTube today that showed the rosters for all the NCAA12 Big Ten teams and it really made me scratch my heads at how awful some of their pre-release ratings are (most notably for my Nebraska Huskers). Not only does the roster contain multiple players who are not on the actual team any more, but Taylor Martinez who is arguably one of the fastest players in college football earned his virtual (unlikeness) a whopping 83 for speed, while Michigan's Robinson is locked in at 95? Another super stat snub is linebacker LaVonte David who is on everyones pre-season all-conference list and who showcased nothing less than speed and athleticism last season, and in NCAA12 he is honored with a fantastic 83 speed rating.
Who is the highest rated player in the Big Ten for '12? Oh it's Terell Pryor (aka QB #2 Ohio State) who comes into a season that he isn't apart of with a 96 rating? Wow maybe Pryor will be the first ever player to be on both the EA College football and NFL games in the same season? that would be pretty cool. All I gotta say is come on EA you have all season to make the game as realistic as you can and you not only seem to have little clue about many of the countries teams rosters, but their key players at that.
Is it just me or does it always seem like the top 5 teams get super-stats while the rest of the virtual country gets a crapshoot?
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

everyone is gonna be disappointed with a teams ratings one way or another. and im assuming that pryor withdrew from osu way after EA set the ratings and rosters sorta like jeremiah massoli's situation last year. people just have to deal with it and just be happy that there are new features and better game play this year eventually roster editors will fix roster problems and if you still have problems with it you can always edit it yourself

yeah that and the fact that there are 119 teams to rate it is impossible to get these rating as accurate as we would like.

This one time, I was really upset about somebody's speed rating. So I changed it. And then I was happy. #solutions

I totally understand the time and effort that it takes to make this cool *** game and I'll play the heck out of it from June 12 on but it just seems to me every year that many teams get the short end of the stick when it comes to attention. The past few seasons of NCAA especially have had certain teams so far out rating the rest that playing online is either a cheeze fest or a situation where you see the same team every other game you play. The speed of a player doesn't keep me from playing with that team (I used Zac Taylor all last season) I just don't see why a lot of teams don't get the same attention to detail as the "chosen few."

Complaining? maybe, just calling it how I see it? definitely.

I believe they are going to edit the rosters again before the 12th. Or perhaps shortly after launch. That's what happened last year.

I agree that the Big Ten rosters are bad. I'm an MSU student and while I feel most of our key players are rated decently, only requiring a few tweaks, A LOT of our other player are rated poorly and many are out of position. One major key player complaint I had was with Edwin Baker's speed, acc, and agi ratings. He was rated 88 spd and 90 agi with 93 acc. How is that possible when I dont know if he ever got caught from behind last year? I understand I have seen a lot more live game action than EA has from these guys but come on.

Well, the players aren't really the players. QB #2 is not "Terelle Pryor". If they would've taken him out, a bunch of people would've been like, "HA! YOU DO USE REAL ATHLETES."

Ummm denard definitely deserves 95 speed. Taylor Martinez isn't that close to denard in that category.

They have an enitre year to work on these things. It shouldn't be all that hard to be honest. As a community we love giving these guys a pass at times.

I think they do a decent job of pushing the envelope without crossing the legal line. Make sure to check those guys that you believe not to exist. By that, I mean make sure it isnt FR or Juco recruit. Not saying thats the case here but others have made the mistake.
