Let me preface this in saying I am not a fanboy of any sort other than that of good games. I have been gaming for 35 years and was excited as a 13 year old to pick upy PS4.
In the age of the internet where we have instant access to others opinions, I still stick with my own because it's the one I trust most. Thankfully, I respect others opinions but am glad I not easily persuaded to dislike something. If that were the case I would not be enjoying Madden.
I have read many forum posts on how Madden is the same, it sucks, it's a waste, EA blows, etc. anyone taking the time to read this knows what I'm talking about. Trust me, I know where those sentiments originate from. I wanted to share my opinion regarding Maddem because I am enjoying the next gen iteration about as much as any game in my library.
First, I haven't enjoyed Madden in years. To me, NCAA became my go to football fix. It just played better and had more to offer. Having played a couple games of Madden on the 360, I can compare it to next gen. Let say it is not the same. The videos online don't do the visuals justice. The detail of the stadiums, the uniforms, helmets are much cleaner and pop visually.
The Ignite engine is everything it promotes itself to be. The tackling is incredible. I'm using the Seahawks and Lynch took a shot to the chest only to spin off, catch his balance and motor for a 49-yard TD. The O-line and D-line interaction is the best I have seen. Defensive lineman use their hands to get through blocks. The contextual awareness is there.
Overall, the presentation aspects and controls are the same. Everything else is amped up and makes this game as fun as ever.
Again this is my opinion and I am sure that many will disagree. For those that havent played next-gen Madden, I wanted to provide an alternate perspective.

Thanks for this. I had watched a few twitch.tv streams of it and I was thinking the same as you posted here. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, since I'm getting XBOX One, but I'm going with it on release day.

I am enjoying it. Everyone has certain things they look for but I feel EA did this game justice. The fields look great, the tackles and player momentum is what I enjoy. It's awesome to see things that look organic. It's not perfect but comparing to the current gen version it's a definite upgrade.

I feel ya mane. I've been at it just as long as you and I can't tell you how much I am enjoying Madden. I can't wait until next year.

The same would be said for NBA Live if it werent for the existence of Nba 2k and the NBA's refusal to grant an exclusive license. But enjoy the game. No one should not enjoy something they like just because others dont like it.
