Bengals @ Pats

In a interesting matchup the Bengals visited the Patriots. Both with playoff expectations with the Patriots building towards the future and the Bengals having a very much talented, superstar Offense with Ochocinco and TO.

The game went the way nobody could have predicted. The Patriots dominated through out, scoring points for fun in the Second Half as the run game wore down the poor Bengals Defense on a Rainy Afternoon in Foxboro.

Their were 2 key factors that made this game such a blowout - Turnovers and the Running Game. The Patriots were able to control the clock dominating TOP and really dictate what they wanted to do. This made Brady's job even easier as spaces opened up through the play action and the Shotgun Formations. The Bengals were out of it after Rookie C.Spiller started to build up a head of steam. The outcome was a real shocker though, as pre-game favourites were the Patriots marginally. The Young D was impressive with shutting down Benson early and never letting Carlson settle.

Next Week for the Pats is the Jets in New York. There has been a huge confidence boost though as it has been confirmed that M.Sanchez is out for 3 weeks with bruised ribs. The Jets will call upon Veteran Mark Brunell. This could work well for a New England team who will be eager to put the Jets hopes of an AFC East Title to bed as early as possible.
