Game 34: Season 1
Posted on October 15, 2010 at 04:04 AM.
It has been almost half a season for my player, He was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies late in the first round of the NBA Draft, a 6'7 SF out of UCLA. It was a tough early transition for the youngster. Fighting for playing time behind Rudy Gay made it especially tough for him to find his nitch on the team.

At game 16 however, his luck. and season, would all turn on a dime. Rudy Gay as he went up for a rebound landed hard and tweaked his ankle. After the game the Press Notified him that he was to be named the Starter.

The Grizzlies have struggled all season and never cracked above .500 for the season yet. But at game 34 they stand at 16-18 losing to the LA Lakers who dominated from the word go.

Dino, however managed to record his career high in points with 41. It is a tough road ahead for the 16-18 Grizzlies, but Dino is confident he can lead them to the playoffs. And hopefully further.

It is so true that when you are the backup you are just sitting there waiting "hoping" the person in front of you gets hurt. 41 points man how are they going to play you when Gay is better?

I have no idea. But the way I managed to get 41 was pushing JUST my layup to 96 and ball handles to 80 (which i believe is max for a SF) So every trip down if/when they get me the ball I drive and try to score or drive and kick. it just so happened I played the Kings and Casspi couldnt guard me. which was awesome. My previous career high before that game was 16. and sicne that 41 point game I've been back at about my average. lol
