Pittsburgh, PA - June 1st has come and gone, leaving the Pittsburgh Pirates with a few highly touted draft selections. The Pirates, with the 2nd pick overall nabbed RHP Jameson Tallion, a 6'6" youngster with plenty of potential. The big surprise of the draft is 18 year old CF Jaxon Santangelo, who was drafted out of Broken Arrow High School, just outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Santangelo was selected in the 5th round (147th overall). The Pirates organization is excited about this youngster and has assigned him to AA Altoona to start out on the bench for the Curve.
