Traded!!

Well, I've had my first major event happen during the Show 09 this year. Last night, I was traded to the Padres! At first, I felt pretty betrayed. I mean, afterall, the Cardinals are MY team! I live just a few hours south of St. Louis, north of Memphis and east of Springfield. I feel fortunate in the fact that living in Southeast Missouri allows me to be near all the Cardinals teams that I like to see. I digress. Initially I was shocked and ALMOST re-started the game at that moment just so I wouldn't have to go. But then I thought, maybe this will work out better. Since the trade, I went on an 11 game hitting streak and raised my average up about 22 points. I've also hit 4 home runs as well. So its looking like things may work out for the better with this trade. I'm hoping it works out that I can make my way back to St. Louis in time. But I think being with the Padres, I may have a better shot at getting the call sooner. We'll see. Especially if I keep hitting the ball the way I have been. AND I was traded to a playoff team in San Antonio. Springfield, well, lets face it, they were hanging around in the cellar haha. I think it goes back to the bullpen, like much of St. Louis' troubles. I can't carry a team by myself! I keed, I keed! I'm not a prima-donna...not yet at least. This is just another thing that has come up that really makes this game even more realistic to me. You're on the team that you've followed as a kid and a chance to make it to the show and all of a sudden BOOM here comes new scenery for you. Here's to a good time in San Antonio and hopefully soon a call-up to the next level. Til then GO CRAZY FOLKS, GO CRAZY!

Who were you traded for?

In my RTTS with my closer for my M's I was traded to the Marlins for Logan Kensing just before the all-star break, I was shocked. Went from a team that was a playoff lock (I had 30 saves up to that point), to a team 10 games below .500.
