Well, I'm progressing fairly well with my AA-Springfield left fielder in this year's edition of the show. Once I became the starting left-fielder, I got on a super hot streak. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait long to crack the starting line up. One session of pinch hitting and subbing in the field and I was in. I'm now batting 3rd in the lineup, which suprised me completely. In the past, I'd crack the order around 7 or 8, even at the AA level. Now, before you go criticizing me and calling me a bad gamer, understand again that I don't consider myself a good sportsgamer for the most part. Basketball is another story, but all other sports games I'm mediocre, at best. But I jumped in at the #3 spot and I went on a tear, batting .468 during the month of June. However, I've hit a VERY dry spell. My overall average is still at .323, thanks for my amazing June. But it seems like I've hit the plateau. I am getting to a point to where all I do is line out or hit a towering fly ball out to the deep field, still catchable. I'm hoping that I can have a few breaks in games so that I can get some points to boost my stats to where I'm making solid contact, or just destroying the ball into another city. Either is fine with me haha. I remember this happening to me in 2008, but it was during my second season. Maybe I am progressing a bit better in the 2009 version, so that I plateau sooner then break into the next level at a quicker pace. That and I've GOT to learn how to hit a dang curve ball. Maybe I need some of the Cerrano voodoo Jobu stuff right about now. Wait a minute, Jobu couldn't hit a curve either. Crap, what do I do now? I guess its time to hit the cage. I still have timing issues on those pitches, generally entirely too early. I result it to not finding a comfortable level on my sliders, but at the same time, I don't want to rely too much on the sliders to help me progress in the game and hit that point where the game is TOO easy. Part of it goes back to me not having alot of time to play it. With work and other obligations, playing time has been somewhat scarce as of late, so hopefully I can remedy that soon. So we'll see what the future brings. At the moment, I'm still rocking and rolling with it and I have NO intentions of giving it up. I may do like I have in the past and create a pitcher as I progress with my fielder. Or now that I can completely skip the biggest brunt of the fielder, I may make a first baseman. That was my natural position in school when I played, so now that I don't have to sit through such long games, I may go ahead and go that route. It'd be nice for me to see what I could have done haha. Til next time, GO CRAZY FOLKS, GO CRAZY!
