New members starting threads

Sup my fellow OSers! How's it hanging?

Anyway, this is gonna short and to the point. I doing my usual today, games, TV, beer, OS forums and I came across the NCAA basketball thread. I'll post the link so you can see what I'm talking about.

Just take a look at how many time Marino had to delete a thread for spam and what have you. This is just plain stupid. Someone got banned and they got all pissy because of it. But, this problem could be avoided very easily.

I know that OS has a 200 post min and if you act up like this kid did you'll get banned. But, wouldn't it be nice not to even have to get to this point. What I mean is we have a min post to start your own thread. This would eliminate some of the idiots out there that are just plain idiots.

What do you guys think? Chime in and let your voice by your ladder!
