Posted on May 31, 2011 at 08:23 PM.
Washington Wizards

29 Game Season
10 Minute Quarters

Record Thus Far: 10-5

This update will only feature the score part of the box score and not the extended one with the stats as well. I'm doing this so I can fit all of the All-Star Break related updates into the post without making it 9 pages long. Recaps will be for the most part short and sweet as well this time.

Game 16

Feb 4, 2014 - WAS at UTA
TEAM1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Washington Wizards (10-5)26253322106
Utah Jazz (9-12)29262727109

Recap:

John Wall led the way for the Wizards with 35 points and 9 assists. He hasn't scored under 20 points since November.

Game 17

Feb 8, 2014 - MEM at WAS
TEAM1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Memphis Grizzlies (10-8)2526212698
Washington Wizards (10-6)1529272495

Recap:

The Wizards worst nightmare turned into a reality in this one when John Wall went down with a strained back in the 3rd quarter. The Grizzlies 12 steals and 8 blocks were too much for the Wall-less Washington team. Fortunately for the Wizards, with the All-Star break in 10 days he will only miss 3 games.

Game 18

Feb 11, 2014 - CHA at WAS
TEAM1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Charlotte Bobcats (8-10)2121272291
Washington Wizards (10-7)2417282089

Recap:

The first time the Wizards played without John Wall since he has been drafted went about as expected. Marcus Jordan tried to fill Wall's shoes but few people are able to do that.

Game 19

Feb 13, 2014 - WAS at NYK
TEAM1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Washington Wizards (10-8)2513202381
New York Knicks (6-12)2320221984

Recap:

Josh Smith was dominant for 2 and a half quarters before falling into foul trouble and taking the Wizards hopes for a victory with him. 31 points in 23 minutes for Smith. Marcus Jordan played extremely well scoring 9 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing 16 assists.

Game 20

Feb 16, 2014 - MIN at WAS
TEAM1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Minnesota Timberwolves (10-11)2218262591
Washington Wizards (10-9)23193032104

Recap:

The losing streak ends at 5 games. Josh Smith led the Wizards to the comeback win, their first without John Wall in his era. He notched 27 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks to carry the Wizards into the All-Star Break with a W.

John Wall was the 3rd leading vote getter for Guards before his injury. However due to his injury he withdrew from the All-Star Game and was replaced by Brandon Jennings. The West went on to beat the East 109-104. Jonny Flynn was named MVP after scoring 29 points and 6 assists.

The Rookies beat the Sophomores 90-85 in that contest.
