Months ago, I made a list of predictions of what would go wrong with CFB25 should we not have full editing like we always had before. Let's go over the list again, now that the game has released and see how it's working out ------
1. NCAA14 still exists, as do the previous versions of the game with far other NIL players that can be edited / created and used. No lawsuits or complaints have arisen regarding those games that continue to be sold (and their price tags ... Read More

I'm sure that many might disagree with me, and if I'm lucky, I won't have to hear from any of them, haha, but I see a similarity in sports gambling and loot crate kind of transactions, per sports games overall.
Madden and NBA2k are the closest to this getting out of hand, so I will use them as my examples: To get my personal feelings out of the way, I'm getting annoyed with the increasing focus in real life and in video games, per sports, that fantasy points scoring and the gambling ... Read More

I just want to write this down for any future, BS and pretentious walking contradiction types that come at me for when I talk about gaming QA, ever again.
HOW does a 5 star gaming company with supposedly top QA workers spend a nine+ month long development and coding cycle and yet, still, they release a game in no true, full working order, like they haven't caught glitches or bugs at all - BUT - in just weeks after releasing the game to the public (selling it to consumers), they suddenly ... I can't fault anyone for having fun with a game despite any flaws it may have, especially when it's your only option, but I do feel that past a certain level of defending EA for the messes that we are given, it comes across as fabricated. A good deal of the really strong and vocally in our faces, EA defense posts feel manufactured and to where those folks are even forcing themselves to try and believe it.
So, anyway, I have to ask: Seriously, would all of you staunchly defending ... Read More

I've been a Ravens fan forever - 96 to now - I know this organization and how they roll. They have never valued QBs more than any other position. They won their first Super Bowl and let Trent Dilfer walk. Flacco wins another Super Bowl, doesn't even decline in ability much, happens to get hurt, Lamar does good - bye bye, Joe - hit the road. I suffered through way too many years with Kyle Boller, and they could have really dished out money for prime cut FA QBs right and left...but never did until ... Read More

I almost made this a post in the main forum, but I figured that the main points I want to make here would get lost in the abyss.
They have to start going to a multiple year development cycle. They started the code well over a year ago for all that M23 has going on, and it's clearly still not working, clearly still getting patched and surely more is to come. Like it or not, we are all experiencing a multi-year dev cycle, honestly. They can no longer claim that consumers will wait ... Read More

Well, I definitely want to mark this date for remembrance because I don't think I have ever seen this forum (per Madden) so quiet. I think it's beyond apparent that people are pretty pi$$ed off. Seriously, it's kind of crickets today. That eerie silence, though, it means something rarely found on forums - it means a unity has been struck.
This is going to be a big deal going forward. This moment matters. Let's hope it's for the best.

The current hope I have is that this year's whole debacle combined with other companies being able to release NFL licensed games, the profit expectations of the NFL is still met while allowing EA to move to a two year development cycle (at least - I wouldn't mind three years).
This is exactly why I talk about how the MUT/YARD/FOTF should be its own game and code while the sim game of Madden that we all had in the first place as its own thing, once again is only that - its own thing. ... Read More

For all of my efforts to try and like it, I have the opinion that Free Form Passing is unnecessary. It does nothing new, unless the end goal was to make gamers mash more buttons (I.E. making it more interactive). Sadly, I'm thinking someone at EA equates that to making the game have more immersion. While it does "engage" a player more, I don't feel it's enjoyable more than it gets tedious.
Aside from my opinion, though, there are hard facts. When you trigger the play art / WR routes ... Read More

This is a decades old, vicious (albeit, playful often) debated circle around these parts but in also many other forums and in countless work breakrooms. Not to pick on Madden, but I'm just going to go through the back and forth's using Madden as example:
THEM: We now have Superstar X-factor boosts to separate the elite players from the rest.
ME: Or you could just make ratings sliders absolutely matter and that by adjusting all of those specifically to be why any one player ... Read More

Games need to be separate and their own entities entirely. It's beyond obvious that the cramming of game modes and game codes into one disc/download just isn't working out. We've seen it with Madden, NBA2K, NHL and also with other high profile games/FPS stalwarts.
Print on demand has been an option for at least 15 years, now, so there's no need per overhead (store/distro center shelves) for rolling out a disc version on any game at all. Tell consumers that they can either order, ... Read More

I don't know what to call it, but since two days ago, I suddenly see my players with the ball, at the end of a play, they instantly are frozen in place while everyone else around them is just moving along.
The first time it happened, my Washington Commanders running back just got tackled, and he's suddenly stiff as a board on the ground while others walk around, step on him, step over him, etc. I thought the comment box was about to appear and say, "Antonio Gibson has DIED. Would ... Read More

UPDATE: I always intended to come back to this after a while and give my thoughts. We're on Title Update 5, now, and...
I wanted to make a list somewhere for checking after however many updates/patches we'll get for M23. This list is the kind of wild INTs that I am seeing in the game release week/download week, and I will know to test them out after each update.
Bullet throws - FIXED
Lob throws - TIPS for INTs still happen, but I'm cool with that. ... Read More
