Just had some random thoughts and thought I would add a point to my overall and do some blogging.

One thing that I see I want to do for the 2010 battleground is to have a larger range in the scoring system thinking of going 1-10 to allow for a more fine tuned scoring system.

I was thinking it would be cool to do a comparison and score the games according to the real sport with free-throws, 2 pointers and 3 pointers and 4 point plays.

However I find it difficult to separate a good feature from a great one with only 1-4 points to separate between them. Sometimes I think a feature only deserves a 2 but also find that it is more than one point greater than the competition offers so I end up going with 3 or 4. i would love to give it a score with enough separation,but also not give it the highest score if possible.

These are the issues you run into bringing out a somewhat original implementation of an idea i guess.

That is not to say that has happened every time but there are times when I wish I had something more in the old tool bag to help with those situations.

So I am open to any scoring suggestions you guys may have out there for next year and beyond. I don't want to change it every year for the sake of year over year comparisons.

wow this was pretty cathartic I may start doing this more often just to get stuff off the old chest.
