I recently read one of the stranger threads named "What team should my brother route for" as I read through the responses I became more and more interested in the concept of how to pick a team to route for. This was my response to that thread.

I became I broncos fan for two reasons it is the closest team to Wyoming and I watched my father be a faithful broncos fan growing up. and I have been a fan ever since.

But I have also kept tabs own a few other teams through out the years. I was always a Favre fan even through the retirement show and all the Favre watch. I have also always liked Mike Shanahan. so i have also fallowed the Packers, Vikings, and Redskins and still continue to fallow these teams closely.

So all of that being said my intention for creating this blog was to hear how everyone has come to be a fan of their team in any sports league.

I grew up in Michigan but love the Seahawks. Why? Not sure. I am not sure if it was the uniforms but have been a fan since I was six (1977). I remember that the only time I got to see them was during Monday Night Football highlights with Howard Cosell. There was no ESPN or Sunday Ticket.

The 80's were great because Seattle became a contender and were telebised in my market more often. Still not a fan of their current uniforms. Love the classic blue, emerald green and silver much better.

Im from DC and my fav team growing up and still to this day is the Dallas Cowboys. Growing up where i came from you were either a Redskins fan or a Cowboys fan. I mean you do have other fans for other teams here and there but its mostly Cowboys and Redskins fans.

I grew up in Cincinnati so naturally I became a Bengals fan. I'm proud to say that when they went to the playoffs in 2005 I stuck with them during the bad years. A lot of people I know, became Bengals fans again at the time, where I never stopped being a fan. It is tough to root form them at times, and I would love nothing more to get rid of Mike Brown. But if I don't root for the Bengals then I don't know who I could root for. The Bengals are my team, and I'll root for them during the good and bad times, unfortunately for me there has been more bad times then good.
