The EA Football Solution

With the coming of the new generation consoles, criticism of Madden and NCAA football shortly fallowed. People began to feel like they were purchasing the same game every year.

While NCAA 11 Made great strides last year I am already hearing remarks of this year being NCAA 11.5 (I have not yet had time to review NCAA 12 Demo so I do not support or deny The 11.5 comments) Madden 11 on the other hand was criticized for being a bug filled game.

So the big question, how do we get EA to recognize the flaws and greatly improve the game year to year? Simple Don't purchase the game. The answer I propose is the same answer everyone else has said and is expecting me to say, but with a little different twist.

I am not saying don't play football. all I am saying is hold off on playing this years football game. I suggest purchasing the latest game toward the end of the seasons instead of the release date.

A dip in opening week sales may make EA take a second look benefiting you in the long run. But there are also immediate benefits. Patches will have been released so you avoid the bugs shipped with the game, and the sixty dollar price tag will dwindle down the longer you wait.

I personally have been doing this since 07. I purchased Madden 07 for five dollars while avoiding NCAA 07, Purchased NCAA 08 for eighteen dollars while avoiding Madden 08. I again avoided Madden 09 due to criticism and Purchased NCAA 09 for eighteen dollars, purchased Madden 10 for about ten dollars while avoiding NCAA 10. And finally last week I purchased NCAA 11 for fourteen dollars and will not be picking up madden 11.(all games were purchased from Amazon.com a few weeks before the succeeding games were released.)

I have done this for six years for two reasons. First I feel I am doing my part to get the game improved. Second I pay a price I feel the game is actually worth.

I am not asking anyone to be this extreme but to just hold off a month or two before purchasing the game to help the cause.
