Now that I'm a (to steal a phrase) PS3/360 "dual citizen" I am trying to divy up my gaming time between the two consoles. The only fair way to do that was to split up the sports titles I typically play: football, baseball, basketball and hockey, between the two systems.
With baseball, it was a fairly easy choice. While I had MLB 2K10 for the 360 for a while, one of the main reasons behind my getting a PS3 was to play The Show. So, my baseball gaming is now being done on the PS3 and I am loving it. The Show is the most complete sports title I've ever played. The level of depth is amazing, as are the graphics, animations, gameplay, AI strategy and toughness, etc. I don't think I'll be putting MLB 10 down any time soon.
When I do take a break from baseball (and I do think taking a mental break from The Show is important because the more games you play, the more you press and swing at bad pitches, etc.), I'm also doing my football gaming on the PS3. Right now I'm playing All Pro Football 2K8 and NFL Head Coach 09, with a little bit of Madden 09 (I got the 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition) mixed in. I enjoy all three and think Madden 09 is better than what some people made it out to be. I am biding my time for NCAA 11, though, and I'd imagine that once I get that, these older games will get less playing time.
On the 360, I'm hooping with NBA 2K10. When I first played 2K10, I wasn't a big fan. I didn't like the controls and felt there was too much sliding going on. Now that I've had more time with the game, I absolutely love it. The post game is so much fun, especially if you have a versatile big man like KG. I also love posting up guys like Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant and seeing them do work. The Isomotion controls are still clunky but when you pull off a move, it is breathtaking. I'm loving the Shot Stick, too. I'm hitting floaters and leaners in my Oklahoma City Thunder Association with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and they look great. I can't wait for 2K11. With Jordan on the cover and the rumors of the classic teams, courts and unis that are going to be possibly added to this game, it could be the only game I play come winter.
I haven't spent much time with NHL 10 lately, but am going to fire that up this weekend and match-up the Blackhawks and Flyers in the Battle For The Cup mode and see what team walks away with the coolest trophy in sports. I have played NHL since release and it still holds my interest. I'm not a huge hockey fan, so I will likely stick with NHL 10 until 11 goes on sale, or just wait a year and go with NHL 12 since I am enjoying 10 so much.
In the non-sports realm, I have Batman: Arkham Asylum and Guitar Hero Metallica for the 360 to keep me busy. I picked up Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3, but won't dive into that until I finish off Batman.
So there you have it, my gaming lineup. Mostly The Show with a little football, NBA 2K10 and NHL 10 mixed in.

Congratulations DJ on your "duel-citizenship." I too own both but I pretty much stay on the PS3. I love the Show, updating rosters daily add a lot of enjoyment to the game. Started playing Red Dead Redemption this week. RDR has cut into my Show time. Keep enjoying your games and the new system. Life is good.

DJ,
Like you, I'm not a big NHL fan but I loved NHL10. I know it's highly regarded, but I don't have the Show (baseball is too slow for me).
That being said, I think the Fifa games are better than all the football, hockey, and basketball games out right now. World Cup 2010 doesn't have a ton of depth but Fifa 10 has an excellent manager mode where you can buy existing players or scout and sign young undiscovered talent. The progression system motivates you to play multiple seasons because you want to see your youngsters turn into stars.

I enjoyed Madden 09 as well and am thinking of picking it up again. Batman game sounds and looks amazing, I may have to pick that one up for sure.

i would get NHL 11 if I were you, and then skip 12. They seem to be on a 2 year dev cycle with most of these games. Groundbreaking improvements in 09, minor improvements in 10. Groundbreaking in 11, minor in 12.

@Boritter: That's great that you enjoy FIFA so much. Are you a soccer fan? I have tried to get into FIFA 09 a few times but just can't seem to stick with it as I'm just not much of a fan of the sport. I appreciate the athleticism of the players and the strategy involved, but it's just hard for me to watch at times because the game slows down at times.
@Stl. I got Madden 09 and Head Coach 09 for $14 total @ GameStop. Good price. 09 has some issues but it also does some things well. I'm using MySkill and just going with it. Batman I got for like $15 off Gamefly when they had a sale. I won't pay more than $20 for non-sports games, just because I know I don't play them that often.
@Anaxamander. I got 09 over 10 b/c of the price. I had 10 for the 360 since it was released, but traded it in over a month ago and didn't want to spend $45 to buy it back from GS. I may grab another copy off eBay or something if I decide not to go with Madden 11, as I did enjoy 10.

I have been involved with a threesome -- 360, PS3 and Wii....
I try to balance my time between the consoles although the Wii gets little action. I prefer XBox Live over PSN and I usually buy games in which my friend base is heavier in playing.
This will be the first year that I will own NCAA and Madden on the PS3 because of friends who are going to run online dynasties.
I love both consoles as each has a strong first party lineup. Killzone 2, The Show, Gran Turismo, Heavy Rain and now Mod Nation Racers has me busy on the PS3. With Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3, Splinter Cell and Natal around the corner, the 360 is going to get equal love.
If people can afford it, they should own both consoles as each offer a different experience as well as awesome first party action.

I used to be a dual citizen as well... sold my 360 on the streets for good money though. Not gaming like i used to, but when i do im currently playing Live 10, God of War 3, Killzone 2, The Show 08, and GTA IV. Popped in APF2k8 a few weeks ago and didn't even finish the first quarter... It feels old to me now, used to be one of my faves... I think im going to reach out and touch red dead real soon, been hearing, seeing, and reading good things about it.

Glad you are enjoying the Show. My baseball gaming will be shut down completely when NCAA 11 hits. I really hope it's good.
I was considering picking up Modnation Racers but I only want to pay half price for it. I'm interested in Transformers but that's only 3 weeks before NCAA 11 and it's now a 360 demo exclusive. Screw them. I'll pick it up cheap at Christmas time then.

@Rudy: I know you are excited for NCAA 11, and so am I. Not sure if I'll buy it Day 1, but it will be the only football game I purchase more than likely this year. I enjoyed MLB 2K10 but man, The Show is just off the charts, even if it feels a little dated in certain areas.
I won't pay full-price for non-sports games since I just don't play them enough. Modnation Racers does look cool and like you, I will probably pick it up later in the year when it goes on sale.
I'm thinking of getting the first Uncharted game since it's pretty cheap right now.

I meant Red Dead Redemption...I own it and still cannot get it right...It is everything and more....

The first Uncharted was great Dan. I liked it more than the second. I preferred the story and I felt the second one was too scripted and confined at times (first half mainly). The first one could get repetitive but I absolutely loved it. Possibly the best non sports game experience I ever had.

Rudy, that's great to hear. The game store by my house has it for less than $20, so this may be the next game I pick up.
