Madden 10 Franchise: Buffalo 2-2 after last-second win
Posted on April 24, 2010 at 12:04 AM.
It wasn't pretty, but the Buffalo Bills managed to escape south Florida with a 16-13 win over the Miami Dolphins, thanks to a 45-yard field goal by Ryan Lindell as time expired.

The Bills (2-2) trailed 13-6 late in the fourth quarter but rallied for 10 points in the final 1 minute, 56 seconds. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was benched early in the second half, returned and scored the game-tying touchdown on a 7-yard run. After holding the Dolphins to a three-and-out, Buffalo took back over possession with just under 45 seconds to go.

Fitzpatrick hit Lee Evans on a 12-yard curl for a first down and another 8-yard pass to Roscoe Parrish moved the Bills into field goal range. A couple of short runs by Fred Jackson moved the ball a little closer for Lindell, who drilled the 45-yarder with room to spare.

A week prior, the Bills lost 45-34 to New Orleans. Drew Brees was injured in the 4th quarter, breaking his collarbone and will be out for 10 weeks. Veteran Mark Brunell replaced Brees and led the Saints on a late scoring drive to salt away the victory.

Parrish returned a kickoff 94 yards for a score and the Bills erased an early 20-point deficit and briefly led in the 3rd quarter but were unable to slow the Saints' offensive attack.
