DJ's Blog
Yesterday I enjoyed a rare day off from work. With my free time, I decided to spend part of it playing some video games, since I've really had to cut that out of my schedule during the week.
I popped NCAA 14 into my 360 and 10 minutes later, shut the game off. I just can't take these EA football games anymore. They are so boring! Dead crowd, beyond stale commentary and no real sense of drama in the games that you play.
What's sad is that NCAA 14 is the best NCAA game EA has put out this generation of consoles, same with Madden 25 and that series. Madden, though, is plagued by many of the same issues as NCAA.
I shouldn't have to force myself to play a videogame. With a game like NBA 2K, there's always something different that happens when I play. The same thing with MLB The Show. Those games at least make an honest attempt at simulating what we see when we watch the actual sport.
My gaming time is precious and I'd rather not spend it playing games that are going to bore me. I'm done with EA's brand of football for now and will enjoy quality titles like NBA 2K, MLB The Show and dive further into my non-sports gaming library.
