As many of you know, I've been looking for full-time work since 2010 after being laid off from my previous job. I won't lie, the past 2-plus years have been difficult, both in learning to live with a lot less money and having to deal with the fact that people, whether they admit it or not, treat you a little differently when you tell them that you have been out of work.

Today, the search is over ... I have a full-time job again! Ironically enough, it's in the same field that I was in before, so I'm looking forward to getting back to doing what I do best, and that's writing about sports.

The stress being out of work took on me was great, but one place that I found solace in was here at Operation Sports. I've been visiting this site for 10-plus years now, although I didn't start reguarly posting until several years ago. I've made a lot of friends on this site, and they have really helped me get through my tough time by always being supportive. For that, I can't thank them enough.

And, I can't thank Steve and his crew enough, either. I always enjoy coming here and reading up on the latest sports gaming news, and then hitting the forums for some quality debates.

When I start my new job in a couple of weeks, my posting frequency will decrease, but not my appreciation for this site. Thanks to all the guys that made me laugh, think or just shake my head. You guys really helped me out as I went through a tough ordeal.

Great to hear man congrats on the new job. I just switched shifts and thus had 6 days off and man I am stir crazy. Now you can buy more games!!!!!!!!

You have to update your OS banner in your clubhouse Dan. The default doesn't cut it!

Any tips on how to do that, Rudy? I tried before and the images were too stretched for my liking.

OK, Rudy, I think I found a decent photo, although I was hoping to get one with the Coors Field scoreboard in the background. Still, looks better than default
