Madden 12 vs NCAA Football 12
Posted on September 5, 2011 at 09:08 PM.
I'm planning on buying a football game before the new year, and I don't know which game I should get. I usually enjoy playing ranked games & my player's. Need some help.

I prefer NCAA, but I haven't played Madden too much. Also, I don't play online.

Road To Glory is fantastic in NCAA, given some much needed change.

Gameplay wise I prefer Madden 12 a lot more than NCAA 12 and I haven't played a Madden in years. NCAA 12 disapointed me and I traded it in. But you'll have to rent them both and see which one you prefer.

NCAA 12 is well done. a very polished game compared to Madden 12. i play offline franchise. and do review my thoughts on the games here.

You will have NCAA guys, and Madden guys telling you their side. You should rent, and then decide. I own both games, and I am now selling NCAA 12 on ebay, for what it's worth

DEFINITELY Madden 12 over NCAA 12. If you asked last year, I would have said NCAA 11 over Madden 11 for sure. To give you an idea, this year I bought both games a day or two after the release and haven't played NCAA 12 since I picked it up. I had so many problems (freezing, coaching carousel, defensive AI, etc. etc. etc.) and I haven't returned it only because I'm hoping that after a couple patches its playable.

I've thought every Madden since 06 (next gen) has been garbage, but they finally took a major step forward with 12, gameplay and franchise.

I have NCAA 12 on both ps3 and XBOX 360. Let me start by saying it is way better on XBOX 360. I just both Madden 12 on eBay and waiting to receive but NCAA 12 is a good game and after the patch it should be better.

Thanks everyone. Renting both seams like the best option. But I'll keep in my mind what you all said.

I am finding NCAA to be vastly more polished than Madden. The presentation is better; the commentary is better; and the sound is FAR better. I am definitely more a fan of the college game than the pro game. I also consider college football to make for a more interesting videogame.

I just bought madden on ebay(ea will not get me to buy 2 football games at full price). I got ncaa on release date and while i dont love it i still play it a lot. Franchise is still pretty much the same old dog. I have stayed away from ranked games. Custom playbOoks glitch like crazy and took the fun right out of the concept and gameplay. In terms of game play not to scare you off or bash the game but plenty of frustrating scenarios occur. Like someone stated last ncaa 11 > madden 11 this year i am not sure. In the past i use to purchase ncaa to enjoy for a month and save 20 or so draft classes before trading it in. I wasnt impressed with maddens demo and will probably get rid of both once battlefield comes out. Also still waiting on madden to arrive to see how much or little has changed.

I prefer NCAA games because it has more teams and you can recruit your team and also play online dynasties as well as online games but madden is a good series also but i like ncaa series better

If I had enough money for NBA 2k12, Battlefield 3, and both I would.
