We are a few months away from the release of NBA 2K16 and here is what we know so far.
1. Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, & James Harden are on the cover.(Cool)
2. Spike Lee is to somehow enhance MyPlayer story lines.(Possibly cool for MyPlayers)
3. There is a Special Edition Micheal Jordan cover waiting on us to pre-order.(MJ's Cut of the pie)
4. 3 music producers were chosen for the sound track.(Has to be better than what Pharrel did, right?)
5. NBA player body scans were taken.(Very Cool)
6. Stephen Curry's signature shots won't require manual adjusting.(Very Cool)
7. There are 32 new back down animations.(Cool but I hope it comes with more moves and adequate speed)
8. NBA Summer League play, along with Pro Am play will be implemented.(Again cool for MyPlayers)
Most 2K fans are simply hoping that there aren't any server issues and that is a very fair concern, considering we were told that those issues were solved before 2K's last release. I'm hopeful for a bug free release but I'm not holding my breath because until it is played worldwide, how could you know if the servers are operational?
Once again most of the known additions are enhancements for MyPlayers which is understandable as they pump the most money, time, & effort into the game. However I am anticipating gameplay information. The Czar always gives an excellent view of the player movement in play execution. Ronnie sells us on buying 2K & tries to sell that he is a good player, but what can we expect for improvements in gameplay? Are signature shots and moves closer to reality? When playing user vs cpu, do players perform like themselves? Will cpu point guards continue to play bumper cars until they enter the lane? A lot of fans have submitted or read wish lists or even presented videos of needed gameplay improvements with little to NO feedback from 2K. Are we being heard? Staying tuned.....
