One day last Autumn, I got on the scale and I was shocked, at 5’10”, to see the numbers “2-6-0” staring back at me. ... Read More

I dont understand the infatuation with Wrigley.
What has Wrigley ever done for the Cubs? Theyve never won the WS in that stadium. Its old and run down and in the middle of a neighborhood filled with snobs who apparently didnt know there was a stadium there when they moved in.
Some "fans" want the Ricketts to leave Wrigley as it is to "preserve the legacy & traditions".
What legacy & traditions? Of losing? Because thats all the Cubs have ever done in that stadium.... LOSE!

This is a list of the BEST players to wear each number OR the most popular player to do so.
(although I selected best first)
This was an extremely difficult list to compile. Too many really good players wore the same number (23, 30, 34).

Some players may not have been best known in those numbers.
But I chose to put them there to make room for another player.

This is from May 2011....
Im sure most people are familiar with the "Curtain Call. It usually happens when a player reaches a milestone, the player comes out of the dugout and is supposed to give a nice wave to the fans thanking them for their support. That's the way it should be. Its supposed to be an honor to receive a curtain call.
Its a tradition that goes back centuries to the age of live theater.
The audience who loved the performance so much would applaud
