Unbeatable game / season / career feats, part II
Posted on May 1, 2009 at 10:34 AM.
Following up my previous one of these, I just thought I'd do some more (There are plenty across the world of sports)

Nolan Ryan's 7 no-hitters

Not much explanation required here I hope. Most pitchers would be happy with 1 no-hitter in their career, but 7 is madness. Cy Young "only" got 4. He'll hold this record at least as long as he holds the strikeout record, probably longer. You could come back in 200 years time and he'll still have this record.

Just about anything Wayne Gretsky did

I'm not a big hockey fan, but you can't deny that Gretsky deserves the nickname "The Great One". He holds 60 records. That in itself is a record not likely to be beaten.

Ronnie O'Sullivan's 147 in 5 minutes 20 seconds

Snooker is not massively popular I will admit, but this is an insane record. There is a video of it on youtube, and if you watch it you realize that he could probably have done it faster, but the referee couldn't keep up with him lol.

That's enough for now, I'm sure part II will be posted at some point lol

7 no hitters will NEVER be broken, I think that is the safest record. That or Cal Ripken's consecutive games streak.

In a way Cal Ripken's streak is easier to beat because it requires less luck overall.

Gretzky's 215 point season is the safest record. If hockey was as popular as football or baseball this would be fact.
