ACQB M10 Week 1 Summary - Steelers (me) vs. Titans (CPU)

Well, I almost lost to the CPU. I found myself down 3 scores in the second half thanks to 4 turnovers, 1 by Parker and 3 accredited to Big Ben. Just when you think I'd break my controller and cry like a baby, Parker breaks a 71 yard TD. This opens the flood gates that eventually climaxes at a 30+ yard fade for a TD to Holmes against man to man coverage. My inept defense then made a game sealing interception (Ike Taylor - INT-TD 71 yards). Steeler fans could then breathe a sigh of relief.

The Titans really stuck to the run, and stayed within their means on offense. They continually took what I gave them. On defense they were laying some big hits all over the field. Willie Parker's fumble on the opening drive was picked up and returned for a TD. That hit was vicious. Chris Johnson never broke loose, and Willie did.

Notable stats:

Roethlisberger - 16 for 29, 3 TD's 3 INT and 289 yards.

Collins (Ten) -16 for 29, 1 TD 1 INT and 183 yards.

Parker - 14 att. 100 yards 1 TD 71 lng

Johnson (Ten) - 18 att. 58 yards.

Holmes - 4 rec. 102 yards 1 TD.

Sweed - 3 rec. 75 yards 2 TD.

Gage (Ten) - 5 rec. 67 yards 1 TD.

Defense:

Timmons - 8 total tackles, 2 for a loss.

Woodley - 1 sack, 1 FF

Titans defense - 3 INT, 3 FF, 1 sack

I was glad to squeak by week 1. Next week I take on Kosch and the Bears.
