Nose Tackle is following the RB....poor Nose Tackle.

QB is gone! (Notice the Nose Tackle finally turns around)

QB is gone. Perfect read AND execution.

Now this is how the Buck Sweep Read Option functioned so well in a offense. This play is better to use in NCAA Football 14 IMO than the Buck Sweep. The Buck Sweep is a simple hand off you can do more damage with an option added. Buck Sweep Read Option > Buck Sweep.
If all else fails and you couldn't grasp the ideas behind these Oregon concepts here's some informal videos:

Arizona's Buck Sweep - The Evolution

Arizona is one of the newer College Teams to incoropate a Spread Option Run Attack. They added the MASTER of the offense Rich Rodriguez to their staff and now he is coaching a monster of an offense. In the wee hours of night I like to watch ________ vs. videos i.e. Ka'Deem Carey vs. Nevada videos to see how good a player is and check out cool offenses. Realize I was just watching this video and could be completely wrong about this play. But I saw something AMAZING. What I'm calling the Super Buck Sweep Read it's super because it's not 1 pulling guard, not 2, but 3 PULLING LINEMEN. Now unfortunately this play isn't featured in NCAA Football 14 but maybe this post and play will expedite things. Now watch the breakdown of the Super Buck Sweep Read out of what looks to be the Y Trips HB WK Offset (another spectacle itself):

Shotgun - Y Trips HB WK - Super Buck Sweep Read

Now I might be going blind from the Arizona uniform selection but isn't that 3 pulling linemen!! This obviously no zone blocking with them as they all pull out at the same time. The two linemen left block while the TE seals the edge off.

I was shocked already by the THREE pulling linemen. Then I was baffled by the QB actually reading the DE! You can see in the video that the QB rides the RB before handing it off and keeps his eyes down the field on the read-man or DE in this case.

The QB makes the right read, sort of, and hands it off to one of the best RB's last season and potentially this season, Ka'Deem Carey. I say sort of because the QB had a wide-open field in front of him and saw much "Daylight" but when in doubt hand it off to the RB, especially Ka'Deem Carey. The play ends up getting stuff because of poor blocks.

Ugh stuffed.

Here's a link of the play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FflUa...ailpage#t=100s

From this post a few things should have been learned: that all plays, formations, and offenses are ever evolving. The Buck Sweep is definitely a powerful play in College Football. And that even in a bowl game it is never too late to test a new play. Arizona only ran this play once throughout the game. I'm sure it'll be used more often next season. These plays all took place a year or season after each other; although, the time is different -- the concept never changed. Explore offenses and don't get offended. Stay Reading.
