Oscar Robinson averaged a triple double in a season. I think you were going for MOST POPULAR NBA PLAYERS OF ALL TIME.

Allen Iverson, Gary Payton and Scottie Pippen are all out of place.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Oscar Robertson
4. Hakeem Olajuwon
5. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
6. Shaquille O'Neal
7. Charles Barkley
8. Magic Johnson
9. Larry Bird
10. Honestly, there's so many guys that can fit the bill that I really can't go out there and say it outright. Modern day players, I think LeBron James can one day be a part of this, some may argue that he already is, I hate him with a passion but I don't deny his talent. Kevin Love as well, he's a spectacular player, I don't think guys like Wilt would be able to rebound like they did in today's NBA. Love would probably even out-rebound them back in the 70s because the rules were completely different and far easier. That's who I believe are the top 10. Iverson is far from top ten, don't joke around with Scottie, not even close to the top ten and the same goes for Payton. I don't see Erving as a top ten although some might. The undisputable NO MATTER what top two is Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. You say no, then you are wrong, NO MATTER what.

The toughest part is who to put #2. Wilt put up a 100 in a game and averaged like 50 and 20 (INSANE!). Oscar averaged a triple double in a season (INSANE!). Bill Russell won like 8 championships in 11 years (INSANE!). Jeremy Lin...Just Kidding.

Kobe, Shaq, Bird, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, any of them could be the 2nd greatest player in NBA history. But I do give an edge to Magic, Bird, and Kobe because they weren't as physically gifted as thee others. They weren't 7' tall. They are top ten players even though they are average in terms of NBA physicality. (Obviously Magic was tall for a PG, but there were still taller players than him on the court.) Kobe is great, but his book is still being written, he may finish with 7 or 8 rings, but even where he is, he is a guaranteed top 10 player. Another guy that should be on this list, The Big Fundamental!!! Timmy D.

This may be the worst put together list of best NBA players all-time I've ever seen. Michael Jordan is the only one in the right spot. Allen Iverson doesn't belong in the top 20. No way is Gary Payton in the top 10 and same goes for Julius Erving.

Ridiculous list.

With that said, I'll provide mine, though it will be tough because there are/have been so many great players.

1) Michael Jordan
2) Wilt Chamberlain
3) Shaquille O'Neal
4) Kobe Bryant
5) Larry Bird
6) Magic Johnson
7) Oscar Robertson
8) Charles Barkley
9) Lew Alcindor/Kareem Abdul Jabaar
10) Pete Maravich

Sure it's all debatable depending on what you personally see as great, but still... your list is a joke... sorry bro.

to control x... good try and don't take anything personal

I made my list. You guys make your own top 10 if you want to.

@Jakeness: Dont worry if I didnt put Wilt on #2 or I didnt have the same list as yours. No bro, these are just idols, the players I got to see playing and grow up with the sport. And they were not arranged according to who's the greatest. It's according to my preference. Furthermore this list is not an Official list provided by the NBA to me lol. It's no biggie, it's just a little 'blog'. And it may be a joke like how you see it. But why so serious? LMAO

@Packer: I understand man lol

Sorry for getting you all confused.

The players made it to the list because it's fun to play as them in a video game. They're great players in real life and they're great to use on a video game.

Kareem, Wilt, Bill Russell, Big O, (you name it, there's too many to mention) -- these are hall of fame greats but I'm not feeling these guys in the game (e.g. NBA 2K12), and centers are usually slow lol

Now you know LMAO

Ok, My Turn..
1) Michael Jordan
2) Wilt Chamberlain
3) Oscar Robertson
4) Magic Johnson
5) Kareem Jabbar
6)Bill Russell
7) Julius Erving
8) Pete Maravich
9) Larry Bird
10) Hakeem Olajuwan/Karl Malone

And the reason I have Erving so high was because of his impact on what the NBA is today. Without Erving, the influence of the ABA never happens. It would still be a slow half court , feet on the ground game. It was Erving that made dunks "Cool".

You're right about The Doctor, shadia. I always love seeing him dunk on somebody in his prime ABA years. He's the best at that.

Still can't believe all of you guys are forgetting Elgin Baylor. He averaged 38 points and 18.6 rebounds a game in 1961-62 WHILE ON ACTIVE DUTY IN THE US MILITARY. The fact that no mentioned Bill Russell until two posts ago is an embarrassment to the game of basketball, as is, mentioning Kevin Love within 1 million miles of the top ten greatest NBA players of all time.

What?? Barkley at no. 2? A.I. at no. 7? Payton at no. 5? Payton may not even crack the top 5 point guards of all time. Kobe is easily top three----come on, 81 points in a game. Heck he would have scored more than 80 points in a game on several occasions. There were at least two games back when Shaq was still with the team when he had 60 points by the end of the 3rd quarter but was taken out because they were up so much. BTW, I'm not a Kobe fan----I hated him as a Kings fan.

As for those who listed Wilt as no 2. Um , I don't know if he would score 60+ points and nab 20+ rebounds so easily in today's game. Back then there was no defensive three-second violation and 5 second back to the basket violation----so you could camp in the point all day---heck Shaq would have destroyed the league if he could have camped in the paint.

Oscar Robertson (average triple-double for a season) and John Stockton (assist and steal leader) belong in the top ten. Kareem (points leader) and Bill Russell (11 championships) also should be on that list.

Cyborg Ninja seems to be the only smart one here. Wilt Chamberlain played easy basketball, imagine guys like Shaq, Charles, these guys would've completely destroyed Wilt & Bill and the rest. Wilt doesn't crack my top 10 for sure and heck, I don't even like to consider most guys before 1980's because the NBA was much easier back then, especially for big man when guys like Jerry West couldn't take advantage of the three point shot.
