Posted on August 18, 2013 at 09:07 PM.
The Rockets have started off the season 0-2, and take on the 1-1 New York Knicks lead by Zach Randolph and Paul George. Coach McHale wants a different look to start the game so he is replace Plumlee in the starting lineup, moving Noel to center and Ryan Kelly to the starting PF. Coach McHale "Hopes that Kelly's ability to stretch the floor and hit open shots will give the team a much needed spark."

With 5 minutes remaining in the first quarter the Rockets trail the Knicks 19-10 and Kelly is 0-2 from the field. After the time out the Rockets on the court are MCW, Crabbe, Ennis, Plumlee, and Dieng.

At the end of 1, the Knicks lead 31-20. Top performers so far are the Knicks Batum and George with 10 and 9 respectively. Speaking with Coach McHale at the break he said, "We need to limit our turnovers, you can't win games when you turn the ball over 7 times in one quarter."

An arena filled with boos, as the Rockets head to the locker room trailing 61-38. McHale tells Dorris Burke, "Turnovers, giving up offensive rebounds, and not getting good shots. That's what is costing us the game. I hope our team comes out strong in the second half and tries to make a game of this."
