Jazz Hold on to Defeat Suns

Sorry for the poor write up I lost it mid game when my computer died. The following write ups will be much better.

After a strong first half the Jazz lead the Suns 66-54. The Jazz shot 51% from the field in the first half with 8/15 from three. The Jazz are playing great as a team, with 20 assists at half.

A rocky third quarter from the Jazz results in a score of 89-87 Suns at the end of three. At the end of the third Doris Burke interviewd coach Corbin and he said,"We had too many turnovers and bad shots in the third quarter. If we play like we did in the first half we will come out of here with a win."

Starting off the quarter with a Richard Jefferson jumper and an Alex Burks steal for a dunk the Jazz take a 91-87 lead. After forcing a shot with 1 second on the shot clock Favors grabs the rebound, outlets to Burke who then hits Burks for the 94-87 lead. Timeout Suns!

Trailing 106-103 with 5 minutes remaining the Jazz take a timeout. After trading buckets back and forth the Suns hold a 113-100 lead with 2:30 remaining. The Jazz get a stop followed by a Brandon Rush score and it is a one point game with 2 minutes to go. Goran Dragic drives to the rim and draws a foul with 1:41 left. He misses both and Jazz have the ball down one! A driving Burks finds an open Kanter under the basket and he slams it home! 114-113 Jazz lead! Timeout Suns! Gerald Green misses a contested elbow jumper. The Jazz follow up with a mid-range jumper from Burks and now lead by 3. Bledsoe comes down and scores! Not to be outdone Burks hits a 3 for his 30th point of the game and the 4 point lead!

On the defensive end it's Burks with the big play again as he rips Goran Dragic and the Suns foul with 35 seconds left. Burks makes one of two. Gerlad Green drives to the paint and is blocked by Kanter! It looks like the Jazz will get their first win of the season.

The Jazz win with a final score of 121-116!

Alec Burks continued his impressive start as he wins player of the game. His stat line for the night:
37 minutes, 31 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks.
