Now that we found out that Yuke's plans to return to helm this coming year's WWE title, what do you think may happen? Here are my ideas:

WCW/Monday Night Wars story mode
This may be a good point of continuation for this series, as you can bring in a few more Attitude Era related matches and wrestlers WHILE focusing more on the WCW end of the Monday Night Wars. Wouldn't it be awesome to play as the original nWo? Win the WCW World Heavyweight Title with Luger in early 97 and ... Read More

Another Olympics, another mediocre Olympic video game. Eurocom has been developing the official Olympic titles for years and every year it's been disappointing. Sure, the great Mario vs. Sonic titles are on the market, but they're an overexaggeration of the games, not to mention filled with fictional anthropomorphic characters.

So, here's what I'm suggesting: we need a legitimate sports game developer to take the reigns of Olympic video games. No olympic title, to my knowledge, has ... Read More

I have been playing Mass Effect 2 on and off since its release a week ago and it has simply blown me away. No game has emotionally involved me in its plot as much as ME2 has, and it proves just how much love and care BioWare puts into their in-game universes. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and say it's the best BioWare RPG yet (although I haven't played Dragon Age Origins yet, so I'll temporarily take the previous statement back).

In my eyes, it's far more than a GOTY candidate. It's ... Read More

The Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Sabres. The Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors and Toronto FC. The NHL 2K series. For years I've been putting hard-earned cash and faith into all of the above. But for the same amount of time, I've been let down and disappointed.

Am I a Fan of Mediocrity?

We all know it's much harder to love a team (or video game in the case of NHL 2K) when they don't do all the things the fanbase expects them to. But after living in Buffalo for most ... Read More

2010 Bills Playoff Update:

The 2010 Buffalo Bills are NOT "one-and-done". They upset the heavily favored Cincinatti Bengals 38-14, partially due to the horrid play of backup Bengals QB Alex Smith (yes, THAT Alex Smith), who started in place of the injured Carson Palmer. Smith threw three interceptions, which the Bills turned into scoring drives. It was the first Bills playoff game in 11 years, and the team did not disappoint their hometown fans. WR Terrell Owens had three touchdown ... Read More

It's the first time I'm posting such a recap here on OS, but I just made this post on a Buffalo Bills forum and would like to copy it over here since I wasted so much time typing it out. If anyone would like to hear more, just let me know. It's not going to be a full-fledged "story line" like many of the posts in the Dynasty HQ forum are, just a little recap of sorts. I Peench's amazing Lion franchise progression thread on the Madden forum is an inspiration for this.

Nearly ten years ago, on the extremely-limited Create-a-School mode in NCAA Football 2000, I created a nonexistent college called Bantham Technical University. Following 2000, the team continued as an annual creation from NCAA 2003-2006.

Saw this little tidbit in an interview with Joe concerning the possibility of a TNA Impact 2 video game:

Quote:
ESPN: You still playing a lot of Xbox Live?

Samoa Joe: Oh yeah, we had a big session of "Left 4 Dead" last night. I'm just pissed that "MLB The Show" isn't on 360 because all my friends only have the 360 but "MLB 2K" is sorry.
This game may have just received its most famous critic. 2K has a lot of work to do next year...

Today, I went out to the newly-named Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo for the 2009 Buffalo Bisons home opener, the first as a Mets affiliate. It was certainly a new era for Buffalo baseball, and I (as well as the rest of the stadium) was ready for the unexpected as an all-new lineup took the field and prepared to show the Buffalo faithful just what they had in store.

-Governor Paterson was announced and threw out one of the many ceremonial first pitches (along with Buffalo mayor Byron Brown, ... Read More

Here's a quote from a poster (whose name has been withheld) at OS who has been fairly upset over the state of 2K Baseball on the next-gen systems. In the middle of his tirade, he states:

Quote:
2K doesn't care about us. They never have and they never will.
Let's break this down.

Never have? Remember ESPN NFL 2K5, where the developers (much like like what we see with Ian and Kolbe) came on the forums, interacted with users and credited "the generous people ... Read More

I found this link on gaming blog Kotaku and was pretty intrigued. This information apparently comes from Metacritic ratings over the years. I wonder if the relatively low scores for MLB 2K9 are averaged in...
