Sims Sports: http://www.simsports.net/viewPlayboo...bid=2690&gid=2
You may notice that my new RNS is different from previous one because I want to stick with true R&S. Oh yeah, I added 2 Flexbone formations because they have run n shoot plays aka. RNS and 60/61. On the other hand, I don't want one dimensional offense ,so I did spice up with Flexbone.
Playbook: RNS
Base: Run n Shoot
Notes: You may have to pick SMU to create RNS playbook in PS3/XBOX360
Requirements:
QB- Balance
Key Ratings: SPD, AGI, THA, and AWR.
Notes: You can't find mobility qb then you may need THP as well.
RB: 230+ pound Power RB.
Key Ratngs: BTK. TRK, CAR, BCV, PBK, while prefer 85 or better SPD while 90 for ACC.
Notes: You can convert FB/ATH to HB ,but you need to make sure that he has enough SPD/ACC.
WR: Mix of Balance, Speed, and Possession.
Key Ratings: SPC, RTE, CTH, CIT, ELU, RLS, and JMP
Notes: You may need PBK for receivers if you plan to use HB/WR screen plays a lot. I prefer speed for slot while possession for front of cornerbacks. Don't forget STR for possession because they will have to deal with bump n run especially big cbs.
OL: They have to be a pure Pass Blocking and less than 300. You should recruit 280-290 lbs because they're fitness not smashmouth type. AWR and ACC are must for them.
Key Plays:
Passing: Flood, Switch, 60/61, RNS
Running: Zone, Draw, Slam, and Read Option
Notes: Some run plays are same i.e. Slam/Dive ,so there is point for you take both because you can click left analog if you change direction. If you happen to have speedy qb, you can go with triple option from Flexbone, several option from shotgun/pistol.
Strategies: I have 3 scenarios that will effect your gameplay.
1. Set 85 toward to the right that means you will call passing plays for 85% of times.
This is for pure RNS and don't have great rb.
2. Set 70 toward to the right.
Only if you have great running back.
3. Set toward 60 to the right
If you happen to have speedy qb and rb, you can use flexbone frequently ,but you may need good RBK from OL and RBs, though.
Conservative/Aggressive: It should not more than 50 or less than 30 ,so 40 is ideal number for your play calling.
No Huddle: Normal
Pro: Receivers will able to deceive defense since they have choice, option, switch routes that will make difficult for defense to defend. RNS will force opponents to use 4-5 cornerbacks that mean your rb can run vs much small defenders than linebackers.
Con: Inside 5 yards and goalline are worst luck for RNS because defense will have easy to defend against passing in small area. Naturally, you will want to strike tds before reach red zone. Protect qb is not easy job for OL since RNS doesn't use fullback and tight end.
Final Notes: You may have difficult to grasp RNS at first ,but you will get better when you start to understand how to play the game. Red defense is crucial key for your qb.
Hint: You can convert TE/ATH to wide receivers if you plan to use flexbone or option plays a lot. Don't forget to replace receivers with them while sub formations.
