NBA 2K16 My Park

Preface - The is no specific reason for me writing this.

We were late to the party. Fashionably late? No, more like everyone is tanked and the party is going to be over soon (season ending/2K17 coming out).

My brother-in-law and I picked up the MyCareer mode for one reason, to play in MyPark. I have never been much of a fan of MyCareer due to its linear nature. Spike Lee added a bunch of commentary and cut scenes in this version, which were basically a snooze fest.

In early June, we decided to try out MyPark. Both of us rated in the 70s after putting our hard earned VC to work from playing other modes throughout the year, myself an outside 6'8 SF, and with him a 6'3 SG. We grinded out some wins and progressively moved our players into the respectable high 80s range (I believe he is low 90s now). I found the way to continue to increase my players ratings to be terribly boring and time consuming (playing a bunch of practices) and decided that an 88 is plenty good for me to compete in MyPark.

I have to say, MyPark has been a blast. It can be a little frustrating waiting for games, but all in all, we've had a great time playing. I am currently sporting a 116-74 record, with a couple of 10 game winning streaks in there. We play a good chunk of 2 on 2 and then will try our hand with a random at 3 on 3. I find 3 on 3 to be the most fun because it is not winner's ball, but put yourself with a bad teammate and it can be extremely difficult to put together any sort of run.

Lastly, the only tweak I am hoping for, is that next years version is not so tied to MyCareer mode.
