The undefeated #1 Florida Gators come into this weeks match-up with the Arkansas Razorbacks with a birth in the BCS Championship on the line. Buck Rogers has set every single season passing record for a Florida QB this season and looks to help propel the Gators back into a Championship game.
Game - #8 Arkansas (10-2) vs. #1 Florida (12-0)
Rogers took the opening possession of the game for the Gators and led Florida down the field to take an early lead when he connected with his fullback on a play action pass at the goalline. The Razorback responded and tied the game at 7 on their next possession.
The Gators running game was held at bay by Arkansas' defense, but Rogers was able to move the ball through the air and connected for his second TD pass of the game to tie the game at 14 late in the 2nd quarter. Rogers would throw an interception early in the 3rd quarter. Arkansas was able to take advantage of the turnover and scored a TD to go up 21-14.
Rogers was able to move the Gators into position to tie the game early in the 4th quarter and was able to find a wide open receiver over the middle for his third TD pass of the game. The Gators defense came up big and forced a turnover when they intercepted a pass deep inside Razorback territory. Rogers was able to take advantage for the Gators and ended up running the ball in for the go ahead score with just over a minute left in the game.
The Razorbacks were unsuccessful on a deep hail mary pass attempt and the Gators would get out of Atlanta with their second straight SEC Championship.
Buck Rogers was named player of the game finishing 22/37 for 313 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT. Rogers also rushed for 1 TD, the eventual game winner.
The win has earned Florida a spot in the BCS National Championship game where they will face the Pac 12 Champions, the Washington Huskies.
