Buck Rogers still held a firm spot at the top of the leader boards for passing coming into week 12. The winning ways has been contagious and Rogers leads a cast of several Florida players that is gaining recognition. The Gators welcomed their rivals from South Carolina into Gainesville with a chance to secure the SEC East slot in the SEC Championship game on the line for Florida.

Game - #18 South Carolina (7-3) vs. #1 Florida (9-0)
Rogers moved the Gators down the field with his arm on their opening drive and got a 7-0 lead after he found a wide open receiver in the flats on the goalline. The Gamecocks would get on the board with a field goal on their next drive. Rogers would score from 25 yards out when the South Carolina defense didn't respect his running ability on an option play.

South Carolina was able to respond with a TD of their own to make the score 14-10. The Gators running game started making big gains and Rogers once again would score when he scrambled from 10 yards out. Rogers connected with his favorite receiver D. Maynard to make the score 28-10 in favor of Florida with just under a minute remaining in the 3rd Quarter. Maynard would set the single season receiving yards record for Florida on the play.

South Carolina would score a TD and convert their 2pt conversion attempt to pull within 10 points. Maynard and Rogers would connect again to extend the Gators lead to 35-18.

Rogers would earn player of the game honors, finishing 12/21 for 249 yards passing with 3 TDs. Rogers also rushed for 43 yards and 2 TDs.

The win clinches the SEC East for Florida. Next week they host Auburn, looking to avenge the last lost that they suffered.
