Practice
Confidence was high in Gator's practices this week. Coming off of a blow out win over FCS Furman, the Gators felt prepared to take on their in-state rival Seminoles. Buck Rogers has truly become a team leader this season and has earned enough trust from his coaches to provide some input into some of the play calling.

Game - #18 Florida State at #9 Florida
Both schools entered this rivalry game with a chance to get their tenth victory of the season. The Gators have reeled off four straight wins after their tough loss to Auburn. The weather once again consisted of rainy conditions. The Gators came out decked in Orange from head to toe.

After opening the game with 2 straight option plays that went nowhere, the Gators decided to pass the ball and scored an 84 yard TD on Rogers first attempt of the day. FSU responded with a field goal. Rogers would throw interceptions on back to back drives and the Seminoles would take the lead 10-7.

Rogers was able to shake off the early interceptions and lead Florida into position to score a TD with two minutes left in the first half. Florida missed the extra point. A quick three and out by the Seminoles gave the ball back to Rogers who was able to get the Gators into the endzone with under :10 seconds left to extend the lead to 20-10 at halftime.

Rogers would take a hit early in the 3rd quarter that would re-aggrevate his strained left shoulder. Rogers would miss a series while they were retaping the shoulder but came back into the game. On his first play back, Rogers thew his third INT of the game. FSU would pull within 3 points after the Rogers INT. Smith would score a rushing TD and Rogers would add his second passing TD on the next two Gator drives to extend the lead to 34-17. FSU would add a late TD but the Gators were able to hold on for the victory.

Gators HB Scott Smith finished with 17 carries for 167 yards and a TD to earn Player of the Game honors. Rogers completed 13 of 19 passes for 263 yards with 3 TDs and 3 INTs.

Florida will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to face #1 Alabama in the SEC Championship. Rogers and the Gators hope that their second meeting has a different outcome than their first one earlier this season.

Week 13 Game Highlights:
